Your role
Vandemoortele Retail Brands is part of the Vandemoortele family and a key growth pillar within PBFS. Through strong partnerships with leading retailers across Belgium, we create value by combining category expertise, consumer insights, and a high-quality portfolio.
As Sales Manager Retail Brands PBFS (Plant Based Food Solutions), you are responsible for driving the Retail Brands strategy and delivering sustainable growth across Belgium. You lead a team of Key Account Managers, build strategic customer partnerships, and drive commercial performance across the channel, while also directly managing a selected Tier 3 customer. Combining strong leadership with commercial excellence, you deliver ambitious business results while developing your team and strengthening Vandemoortele’s market position.
Your key responsibilities
Channel Leadership
- Define and execute the Retail Brands channel strategy in line with PBFS growth ambitions.
- Develop and implement the annual business plan, including sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities to drive sustainable business development.
- Monitor channel performance and take ownership for delivering results.
Customer & Commercial Leadership
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations on major commercial agreements and strategic customer initiatives.
- Ensure excellent execution of joint business plans and customer development strategies.
- Manage a selected Tier 3 customer directly within the portfolio, ensuring consistent execution and commercial performance.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Retail Brands Key Account Managers.
- Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and associate engagement within the team.
- Foster a winning team spirit and role-model Vandemoortele's values and leadership behaviours.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to deliver business objectives.
- Ensure alignment between customer needs and internal priorities.
- Drive effective investment management and optimise commercial return on investment.

Your Experience
- Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent by experience.
- Minimum 5 years of successful commercial experience within FMCG, Foodservice, Retail, or a related industry.
- Proven experience in Key Account Management and customer negotiations.
- Previous experience in people management or team leadership is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
- Experience managing P&L and commercial investments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.
