Your role 

As a Group Reporting & Consolidation Counsel, you manage the IFRS consolidation process of the Group based on the financial data reported by the subsidiaries. You coordinate with subsidiaries to gather the necessary information and prepare proper consolidation entries ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
You will play a key role in ensuring the consolidation and reporting software operates effectively and will support the external audit by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting:
    • You assist in preparing and presenting half year and year end consolidated financial statements of the Group.
    • You ensure a timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
    • You assist in the preparation of regulatory reports as required.
  • Compliance and internal controls
    • You ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards (particularly IFRS)
    • You are responsible to develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Process improvement
    • You identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process.
    • You utilize financial systems and software to streamline consolidation activities and reporting.
  • Collaboration and communication 
    • You work closely with other departments, including accounting, controlling, treasury and tax, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
    • You communicate effectively with senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

 

In this role , you will report to the Group Reporting & Consolidation Manager.

Are you the one we’re looking for? 

  • You have a master’s degree in accounting or finance and can rely on a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on consolidation and financial reporting.
  • You possess a good knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
  • You have experience with consolidation software (e.g. Cognos) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You’re able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can express yourself in Dutch & English.
