Your role
As a Divisional Logistics Controller you manage the financial aspects of our logistics operations. As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient supply chain management while maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. You have a strong background in finance, logistics, and accounting principles.
Supported by the local Controllers, you monitor a budget of around 200 M€ consisting of both internal and outsourced logistic activities.
Next to the operational tasks such as closing activities and forecasts/budgeting, you will proactively provide, to the Supply Chain and Controlling management, relevant analyses and benchmarks to identify potentials and issues, and to improve operational and financial performance of the logistics operations within the group.
In this role you report to the Divisional Controlling Manager Bakery Products.
Your Key responsibilities
• Financial Oversight:
o You oversee financial transactions related to logistics, including invoicing, payments, and budgeting.
o You monitor cash flow (inventory management), expenses, and financial performance within the logistics department.
o You do the follow-up on blocked stock and shelf-life provisions.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
o You collaborate with logistics managers and local controllers to create and manage annual budgets.
o You provide financial forecasts for logistics operations based on historical data and market trends.
• Cost Analysis and Optimization:
o You analyze logistics costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend improvements.
o You ensure cost-effective transportation and distribution strategies.
o You are a critical and independent ‘soundboard’ and challenger towards Supply Chain management.
o You benchmark and analyze €/pal, productivity per FTE, energy costs per KwH for the factory warehouses.
o You benchmark and analyze our transport units internally and externally.
• Risk Management:
o You assess financial risks associated with logistics activities.
o You implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s financial interests.
• Financial Reporting:
o You ensure transparent cost allocation flows between Logistic Units, Supply Chain and Commercial Units based on correct master data.
o You prepare transparent, accurate, relevant and timely financial reports related to logistics performance.
o You present financial data to senior management and stakeholders.
• Compliance and Auditing:
o You ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
o You coordinate with auditors during financial audits.
• Process Improvement:
o You identify areas for process optimization within logistics and financial workflows.
o You implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o You further improve reporting systems by minimizing manual maintenance.

Are you the one we’re looking for?
• You hold a Master’s Degree in Economics and have at least 5 years of experience in a logistic controlling environment.
• You have strong analytical skills, with a good knowledge of financial topics.
• You are a team player with a hands-on mentality who likes to take initiative and operates beyond ‘the functional boundaries’ if needed.
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in Dutch and English. French is a plus, not a requirement.
• You are genuinely interested in the business and its markets and you are able to understand and explain the total picture of all projects and processes.
• You are a multitasker with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• You are highly flexible, proactive, pragmatic, stress resistant, problem-solving and result oriented.
• You are ambitious and eager to learn.
• You have excellent knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW, Power BI and TM1 is an advantage.
• You are in the possibility to travel occasionally within Europe for this role.
