Your role
Vandemoortele Professional is part of the Vandemoortele family and we work to support the growth of professional customers in the Foodservice & Bakery channels. We propose smart solutions and a dedicated portfolio of tasteful products for our consumers.
As Account Manager Wholesalers within Vandemoortele, your objective is to develop and execute joint business plans with our partner wholesalers & distributors. Meanwhile, you take care of our company’s strategy and our must win battles, you step up to a more concept driven collaboration; and proactively seek for new opportunities to strengthen our position in the professional market and increase our overall distribution. Your portfolio is within the Belux Foodservice/Bakery channel, and you will report to the Sr. Key Account Manager National Wholesalers.
Your main responsibilities are:
1. To be an entrepreneurial Account Manager, driving volume & profit:
- You negotiate with the right counterparts.
- You put customer needs first to support the growth of our customers and Vandemoortele.
- You analyze market and customer data, exchange insights with sales and marketing, align with our ambition and strategy, and translate these into business and account plans.
- You set out the vision and growth journey of your wholesalers within their respective channels for the coming years and you take ownership of delivering the results.
- You build and execute the channel and account plans.
- You strengthen customer relationships within the contact matrix.
- You position Vandemoortele Professional as the branded and concept-driven partner and develop long-term profitable volume growth;
2. To be part of the Vandemoortele teams:
- You hold the commercial responsibility over some of Vandemoortele’s strategic partners and wholesalers. In this role, you have a key part in deploying our commercial plans and you collaborate with a wide array of internal stakeholders.
- You express a winning team spirit in a natural way and gain internal support for customers.
- You are part of the Vandemoortele Professional sales team, you interact with Field teams and other Account Managers, Marketing, Customer Service and Finance.
- You fulfill administrative tasks consistently and you are diligent in your P&L management.

About you
- You combine ambition and passion for results with a dynamic mindset;
- You own interpersonal sensitivity & empathy, both internally and externally;

- You are a food lover and/or passionate about food.
... And your experiences
- You have a master’s degree in economics, business, marketing, or a related field;
- You have at least 2 years of successful commercial experience in FMCG. Expertise in the professional area (Foodservice) is a plus;
- You showcase strong analytical & negotiation skills combined with a problem solving mindset;
- You have can work with MS Office and you are familiar to work with CRM-tools;
- You can fluently express yourself in Dutch, French and English (both written and orally).
