As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the overall maintenance strategy and execution at our Eeklo site. You combine strategic insight with operational excellence and lead a team of technical professionals to the next level. As a member of the Site Management Team, you actively contribute to the further development and implementation of the site's mission, vision, and growth plans.
Your responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic maintenance policy
You develop and implement a future-oriented maintenance strategy that aligns with the site's business objectives and master plan. You ensure that the production assets perform optimally, supporting reliable, high-quality, and cost-efficient manufacturing.
Drive operational excellence and transformation
You take the lead in the further professionalization of the maintenance department. By implementing operational excellence principles and continuous improvement initiatives, you build a high-performing and future-proof maintenance organization.
Lead and develop a strong technical team
As an inspiring people leader, you create an environment where employees can grow, take ownership, and excel. You define clear objectives, encourage continuous feedback, and ensure targeted development and training plans.
Manage budgets and resources
In collaboration with the Site Manager, you prepare the maintenance budget and ensure the optimal allocation of resources. You combine financial discipline with a long-term vision for investments, spare parts management, and team development.
Set priorities in a dynamic environment
You continuously assess maintenance activities and adjust priorities based on business needs, available resources, and operational challenges. In doing so, you maintain the right balance between delivering short-term results and achieving sustainable improvements.
Drive talent development and succession planning
You actively build the future of the maintenance department by embedding competency management, talent development, and succession planning into the organization. You anticipate future needs and ensure continuity within the team.
Your profile
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Proven experience leading technical teams within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with organizational change, transformation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong technical background with broad knowledge of industrial maintenance processes.
- Extensive expertise in maintenance methodologies and tools, including PM/PdM, workflow management, spare parts management, MTBF analysis, FMEA, and SAP PM.
- Experience with TPM and operational excellence programs.
- Results-oriented, with strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
